Foods to boost Immune system
In this outbreak of covid-19 everyone’s focus is on the
question of how to boost immune system? Earlier we discussed 4 ways to boost immune system today here are some foods to boost immune system.
A strong immune system caters to keep a person healthy; it
carries organs, cells, tissues and protein which carry out bodily processes to
fight any viruses or bacteria etc. Therefore, incorporating specific food into the diet may act
as an immune system booster the following may be some of those:
Oily fish:
An important element to optimize immunity is consumption of
zinc. This can be found in protein especially in oily fish containing omega-3
fatty acid. Oily fish includes Salmon, Tuna and Pilchards etc.
Almonds:
Second important element is selenium which can be found in
nuts. These nuts are loaded with antioxidants and are a source of vitamin E too
which also is another nutrient for immunity. Therefore, 1 tablespoon according
to portion control for weight loss is ideal to consume in a day.
Ginger:
Another element is vitamin C which can easily be found in fruits and vegetables. However, ginger in specific has anti-inflammatory and anti
oxidative properties which offer health benefits.
Broccoli:
Broccoli is a source of vitamin C it contains anti oxidants especially
sulphorane, this can be beneficial for immune system health.
Turmeric:
Lastly, turmeric a yellow colored spice found in most Asian
households. It contains a compound known as curcumin which again has
antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects Therefore, consumption may improve
immune response.
