What is protein in portion control for weight loss

Protein definition:

Proteins are vital nutrients for a human body, the macro nutrient is essential for building muscle mass, structure and function of cells and serves as a source of fuel to the body. Protein break down as fuel and helps in increased metabolism which is helpful for weight loss. It is commonly found in animal products, legumes and nuts (we will not consider nuts as protein in this diet). here is a list of protein enriched foods:

  • Meat (Chicken, beef, lamb, seafood)
  • Eggs
  • Lentils
  • Pulses
  • Beans

how often should be taken?

As we are aware of the importance of protein therefore we should know one should include protein in each meal of a day which means it must be consumed three times a day including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

how much protein for weight loss?

There should be 2 to 3 portions of protein taken each day in order to loose weight. Females should consume 2 to 3 portions while males should consume 3 definite portions of protein in a day for weight loss.

What is a portion of Protein?

The chart below mentions one portion of protein. An example to understand one portion is chicken, if a person consumes 1 palm size(excluding fingers) chicken or 60 to 90 grams of chicken that will be one portion. Hence, for weight loss 2 to 3 such portions has to be taken.

  17. As stated by Stanford Medical, It's really the one and ONLY reason women in this country live 10 years more and weigh 42 pounds lighter than us.

    (Just so you know, it is not about genetics or some secret-exercise and EVERYTHING to do with "how" they are eating.)
